It is extremely important that we are informed if your child is ill or has any problems with their health. Please contact the school (01429) 288291 at the beginning of the session/school day. If your child becomes ill whilst in the Early Years, we will inform the parent or the named contact. If your child has any specific medical conditions it is important that you provide Early Years staff with this information, via the Prescribed Medicines in schools form (available from the school office) so if your child becomes ill we are
able to deal with the situation.
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT YOU LET US KNOW IF ANY OF YOUR MEDICAL DETAILS CHANGE!
They are a common occurrence amongst young children. If a child is found to have headlice, on that day, a phone call will be made to the child’s parents to inform them. Children will then be allowed to be taken out of school immediately for treatment. After treatment the child can be returned (it is important that the child is re-treated after the first application in order to eradicate head lice). Please note it is not expected that a child is taken out of school. If there is an outbreak within the Early Years village we will send home a letter and a text to ask you to check your child’s hair.
Sickness and Diarrhoea
Young children are more prone to upset stomachs. If your child has a bout of sickness or diarrhoea, we ask that they remain at home for 48 hours after the last bout. This will help to minimise the risk of other children becoming prone to the virus.
