What to do if you are worried about a child

Keeping children safe is everyone's responsibility. We can all play a vital role in helping to protect children from abuse. The Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees Safeguarding Children Partnership brings together people who work with children and their families to ensure that the safety and welfare of children is at the heart of their work.  They lead the work to safeguard children in Hartlepool.

Contacting Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees Children’s Hub

If you are worried about a child or young person, and feel they are at risk of being abused, neglected or at risk of being harmed, please contact:

The Hartlepool and Stockton-on-Tees Children’s Hub  on 01429 284284.

In an emergency, please contact the Police on 101 or 999.

The different agencies might share information to try and work out whether they can help, and if so, make a decision about the level of help and support that is most appropriate for the child and their family.
