Head Teacher Welcome

A very warm welcome to Throston Primary School - we are very proud of our children and our school. Our aim is to give every child a 'Flying Start to Success'. We are known as the friendly school, as reiterated by Ofsted during their last visit. Please feel free to contact the school to have a tour and see for yourself. We only ask that you visit during the school day, as nobody wants to see a school with no children.

It is important to us that every child enjoys school and feels a sense of belonging. We are proud of our inclusive ethos, in which all contributions are valued and pupils are given the opportunity to achieve their best.

Our dedicated team of staff and governors are committed to ensuring that all of our children reach their full potential. Every effort is made to make learning fun with a rich variety of activities, both within the curriculum and as part of our extended school day. Our aim is to establish and maintain high standards of learning and behaviour in a caring and welcoming environment to prepare your child for the future and give them the skills and enthusiasm to pursue learning for the rest of their lives. 

We believe that the partnership between home and school is very important and constantly strive to develop this link. There are many opportunities for parents to become involved in the work of the school and we always encourage them to play an active role in their child’s education.
