The school has an active PTA (parent-teacher association) that is currently led by Mrs. Sarah Alton (parent and school governor) and Mrs. Karen Harrison (parent). The role of the PTA is to help bring much needed funding to the school. The PTA are always on the look-out for new members so if you would like to join please e-mail: admin@throstonschool.org.uk

AUTUMN DISCO
The school PTA are delighted to announce that they will be holding an Autumn Disco on Monday 17th October 2022. Details can be found below, if you need additional information please do not hesitate to e-mail: admin@throstonschool.org.uk
Times:
4.00pm to 5.30pm: Early Years (Nursery and Reception) and Key Stage 1 (Year 1 and Year 2).
5.45pm to 7.15pm: Key Stage 2 (Year 3 to Year 6).
Please note if you wish your child to go to the disco straight from school, please contact After School Club: lcleveland@throstonschool.org.uk. Unfortunately, this is the earliest we can start the disco due to PTA work commitments.
Entrance/Exit:
Please enter via the main entrance, children will need to be collected from the after school entrance/exit. This is the set of doors closest to the school caretaker bungalow.
Additional Information:
Please note children in Nursery can have ONE parent/carer attend to accompany them. Please however, do not bring pushchairs etc... as they may block fire exits. Children in Reception and above will not need to have a parent/carer accompany them, as there will be lots of familiar faces on hand to help.
As the date is close to Halloween, children can wear themed outfits if they wish. It is advised not to bring props, in case they go missing and children get upset.
Cost:
£3.50 to be paid via SchoolMoney (https://www.throstonschool.org.uk/pay-online/), no cash will be accepted on the night. The deadline for payment is Friday 14th October 2022 (9.00am). Please e-mail: admin@throstonschool.org.uk if you need help paying online. The cashless system ensures children do not have to worry about losing money on the night. The cost includes entrance to the disco; snacks on the night and a goodie bag to take home. You will be able to book from Monday 3rd October 2022.
