Behaviour
Children at Throston Primary School exhibit high standards of behaviour. For those who have difficulties
we have a wealth of experience in managing challenging behaviours and use many strategies to help them modify their behaviour. The school operates a positive teaching approach to behaviour management. We concentrate on rewarding good behaviours and attitudes but with a clear set of agreed consequences for unacceptable behaviours. This continues to have a very beneficial effect on the life of the school. Additionally, each class has its own set of rules. Children who do not break the rules receive rewards. Certificates are presented on a regular basis to celebrate effort and achievement in the curriculum and in behaviour. If a child demonstrates inappropriate behaviour you will be informed with a behaviour warning slip, letter or telephone call.
