Over the course of the year children will study different aspects of Christianity and why the bible is so important to Christians. We will look at why Christians call Jesus the light of the world and why Lent is such an important period for Christians?

We will discuss how and why people show they care for others in the community.

In the Autumn term we will visit St Lukes Church to learn how light is represented at Christmas time and how this relates to what Christians believe.

We look at how significant Durham Cathedral is to the Christian Faith.

Open the Book, who are volunteer storytellers from St Luke's Church visit us over the course of the year to dramatise bible stories and parables.
