After School Club provides easily accessible, flexible and cost effective childcare in an environment children are familiar with and often alongside their friends. Children get to mix with other year groups and can do a full range of exciting extra-curricular activities (please see timetable attached below) which are all included in the price. Each session can be booked and paid for on a pay as you go basis, we do not require children to access the same days each week and there is no contract, allowing complete flexibility.

Registration:

All children who attend Throston Primary School Breakfast and/or After School Club must be registered with ourselves as instructed by Ofsted. Therefore, a registration form must be completed prior to your child attending.

Registration forms are available from the school office, breakfast club and after school club.

Bookings:

To book a place, please call into the relevant club between 8.00am and 8.45am or 3.30pm and 6.00pm, with your payment (cash or cheque). Bookings cannot be made by telephone as full payment is required at the time of booking. Cheques should be made payable to: Hartlepool Borough Council. You may book for any amount of days per week, you do not have to attend for all five days. Please note parents/carers can also use Childcare Vouchers. The latter can be obtained via reduced Tax and National Insurance contributions (for example: http://www.computersharevoucherservices.com/).

Bookings need to be made via Mrs. Schofield (Breakfast Club) and Mrs. Cleveland (After School Club). Children cannot just turn up without pre-booking. We have limited numbers and staff ratios must be adhered to. Staff must be informed if your child cannot take up a pre-booked place.

Attendance/Absence:

If children do not attend on the pre-booked session, a 50% retainer will be charged for each time the children are not in attendance, unless attending a school residential/educational visit when no fee will be retained. A 100% retainer will be charged should the club not be informed of absence from school due to illness or holiday.

Access:

For health and safety reasons please access the clubs via the doors next to the pupil kitchen. Access via the school main entrance is not permitted.

Medication:

Please ensure that prescribed medication which requires administration during club sessions is forwarded to a member of staff (i.e. inhaler) and a ‘Prescribed Medicines in School’ form has been completed and signed by the head teacher.

Lateness In After School Club:

Please note as stated in the school ‘Breakfast and After School Club Policy’ late collection will result in the issuing of a £10 fine. Payment should be made to an after school representative.
