At Throston, we provide a varied language environment.  The children are given many opportunities to listen to stories, songs and rhymes, using books, puppets, story sacks and pictures to encourage active participation. Children recount experiences and make up stories. They answer how and why questions.  Their vocabulary is extended through quality adult interaction. They are encouraged to speak and listen to each other whilst engaged in activities and in role play.
