Dear Parents and Carers, I am writing to tell you some very sad and upsetting news. Our well-loved and well-respected former member of staff Mrs. Jacqueline Tyas sadly passed away on Tuesday of this week. Obviously, this is devastating news for her family and friends. Mrs. Tyas worked at Throston for over ten years, she started with us in 2009. During her time at the school she supported children from Nursery to Year 6. She had an infectious laugh and smile and loved her job. She was well liked by all and ensured all children were happy and made good progress.
I have asked teachers to mention this sad news to our children who will remember Mrs. Tyas and provide support if required. Needless to say our thoughts and prayers are with her family at this very difficult time.
