Commonwealth Hero
This is Brenda Bland, grandma to the following Throsties: Finn, Cian and Alannah Coyle & George Todd (an ex-Throstie Harriett Todd). Yesterday she took part in the Commonwealth Games Queen's Baton Relay, passing the baton to swimming champion Aimee Willmott (a member of her former GB swimming team). Needless to say we are very proud to have a relative connected to the school, taking part in such a prestigious event. Well done!
