Listening, Attention and Understanding

Planned activities enable the children to follow instructions involving several ideas or actions and answer ‘how’ and ‘why’ questions about their experiences. Through these activities, your child will learn to speak and listen in a range of situations, developing their confidence and skills in expressing themselves.

Speaking

They will be encouraged to use the appropriate tenses, extend their sentences and include new vocabulary. Children will be discussing stories and poems, following stories told to them without props and making up their own stories.
