Crime and Punishment

A study of an aspect or theme in British history that extends pupils’ chronological knowledge beyond 1066. This covers a historical timeline from the Roman Era to Modern Day. The children learn the impact of various punishments linked to crimes and how Modern-Day policing has developed from the earliest era.

The Mayans

A non-European society that provides contrasts with British history: Mayan civilization c. AD 900. The children compare The Mayan civilisation with The British civilisation from the same time period.
