Throston Primary School

A Flying Start to Success

Ofsted Inspection

Dear Parents and Carers,

We have just been informed that we will receive an Ofsted Inspection on Tuesday 15th February 2022 and Wednesday 16th February 2022. The lead inspector is Alison Stephenson. I have uploaded the official letter and guide to:

https://www.throstonschool.org.uk/ofsted-inspection/

We would really appreciate it if you would take a few minutes to let Ofsted know your views about our school. There is even a free-text box to make additional comments. To do this please click onto:

https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/

To register your views you will need to provide your e-mail address. The online survey will need to be completed by 11am tomorrow! We appreciate this does not give you long, but we hope you can let Ofsted know all about Throston Primary: our communication (ClassDojo, report cards, virtual: assemblies, classes and parental consultations), our actions during the pandemic, mental health support, our Throsties, breakfast and after school club, online resources/tutoring and extra-curricular activities.

We want to show Ofsted what  a wonderful school we have and how fantastic your children are. Thank you in anticipation of your support.

Update: Thursday 17th February 2022

Good morning Parents and Carers,

Firstly I would like to say a HUGE thank you for your support during our Ofsted Inspection during the last two days. We were told you were overwhelmingly positive about the school, this is very much appreciated.

Unfortunately, we are not allowed to share the inspection findings until the report is officially published on the Ofsted website. Once we are able to share, we will of course provide you with a copy.

I would however, like to say that your children were called an ‘absolute delight’. This is no surprise to us as we know our children are all amazing. We will ensure we let children know how impressed we are with them.

On behalf of the school I would like to thank everyone involved in the inspection: parents/carers, school staff, governors and all stakeholders.
